Anti Pleasure

So this is my very first blog, I will probably mention a wide range of things but my first entry will be light-hearted.

Anyway, I know Halloween has surpassed but I thought I would talk about this. It seems like no one around here is in the spirit of holidays anymore. I understand that Halloween is not a “holiday” or anything like that, but is it me, or did it used to be a lot of fun for the kids? It seems like people are too busy worrying about materialistic things in life rather than having a good time on these holidays. 

I remember freezing my face off when I used to go trick or treating because it would always be so cold here in New Brunswick at this time. But now it seems like no one decorates their houses or gets into the spirit anymore. I know these holidays are all made up, but it’s always good to have these special days even if it’s someone my age (in my twenties) acting like a big kid once a year.

 I just hope as the years pass, we don’t stop celebrating on these fun holidays.
